Truth Seekers

What if everything you have been taught was a lie?  Could you handle the truth?  Would the recent findings (late 1940’s) at Qumran and the Nag Hammadi be an eye opener? We need to open our eyes and come to grasps that that we are living and studying the biggest lie ever sold! In order to know where you are going, you have to both know and understand where you came from.  Everyone is searching for the truth of our origins, yet with so much deceit and false teachings, it can be overwhelming.  History is often a depiction of “His Story.”  As we all know, history has been written by the conquerors and their version of history is quite the mainstream teachings.  So what’s the answer?  The answer is in plain sight. In order to attain true wisdom, we have to clear our minds from all false doctrines and read for ourselves relevant scriptures with an open mind and then make a sound decision.  You are in control of your own destiny.  Only you can remove the veil of separateness, will require a lot of meditation though, and see the truth.

Most people are thrilled with their everyday “9am to 5pm” life.  What if we are more than we think?  A lot of people are so comfortable in their illusions that even if the truth smacked them in the face, they would curse it because it shatters the lie they have comfortably lived.  Isn’t there more to life than waking up, going to work, sitting amongst people that you don’t like, then coming home help the kids with their homework and repeat the cycle for the next 60 years.  My journey for seeking the truth started at the age of 33.  I knew something wasn’t right so I started doing a lot of research.  My mind was all over the place so I started with the KJV bible.  As I read, with a clear mind, it sounded more of a series of personal stories than the history of us all.  The almighty Yahweh, God of the Abrahamic religions, had more human tendencies, like slavery, favoritism, Jealousy and was more of a conqueror that a peace maker.  He promised his “chosen” people the land of the Canaanites and killed the native inhabitants.  I guess King Solomon was right!  There is nothing new under the sun.  No wonder we are at war with each other!  We think it’s our “right” as if the other people aren’t entitled to their own land!  Sounds familiar?  If you are a student or seeker of knowledge, where is the best place to start?  Personally, I started with the Dead Sea Scrolls and then the Gnostic Gospels.  Both are very mind blowing and will be bring you closer to self and the truth.

The Dead Sea scrolls were “discovered” or emerged in the spring of 1947 from the Judean Desert of the West Bank.  Over 120 biblical Scrolls were found in this cave.  Every Old Testament book, except for Esther was found.  Thanks to the age of information, everyone has access to reading them.  The Book of Enoch, The Enuma Elish, The Epic of Gilgamesh, and the Book of Jubilees are the easiest to read and highly recommended to start.  Once you start reading and understanding its content, you will only crave more knowledge.  Remember Wisdom is better than silver and gold.
